St. John’s, NL, August 13, 2009 – Camouflage Software Inc. has been recognized as a Canadian Innovation Leader by the Government of Canada for successfully developing and applying innovative technologies. The National Research Council (NRC), through its Industrial Research Assistance Program (IRAP) awarded Camouflage with the Canadian Innovation Leader Certificate at an event held on August 11, 2009 by the Honorable Tony Clement, Minister of Industry, along with Dr. Pierre Coulombe, President of the NRC, and Dr. Tony Rahilly, Director General of the NRC-IRAP.
Camouflage is the only Canadian company focusing on developing data masking software. The development of Camouflage has been marked by successful technological articulation of a vision defined by business and information security requirements. The receipt of this award reinforces Camouflage’s position as a national leader in research and development, innovation, technology, and information security. With success producing a high quality, innovative product, Camouflage has gained the support of the Government of Canada’s core research division through public recognition and funding.
