It offers sophisticated pattern based searching - using text and/or regular expressions to locate specific information such as credit card numbers, expiration dates, social security numbers, phone numbers, etc. The Data Discovery Module gives organizations the ability to search database content when locating and classifying specific sensitive information.
Facilitating compliance with legislation and standards such as HIPAA/HITECH and PCI – DSS, has never been easier with Camouflage’s standard search templates. These templates offer a significant head start in your compliance efforts by including search rules aimed at locating Protected Health Information (PHI) and cardholder data out-of-the-box. In addition, the data classification functionality allows organizations to automatically categorize discovered data according to the data classification scheme that best represents their sensitive data and intended uses. Custom levels of sensitivity can also be assigned in addition to the standard classifications provided.
The Data Discovery Module is integrated with our Data Masking Module. It scans your metadata and makes intelligent masking recommendations on how the data should be masked based on table and column names. As part of the DLM Suite, this module automatically exports discovery results directly into a data masking configuration for use in de-identifying the discovered data.
