The Data Discovery Module scans both metadata (data structures) and data (content).
Standard search rules are provided out-of-the-box to facilitate rapid identification of sensitive information such as credit cards, names, addresses, SSNs, medical cards, date of birth, gender, driver’s license, salary, health information and more.
The data classification functionality automatically categorizes discovered data according to classification schemes that best represent your sensitive data and intended uses. This greatly facilitates reporting and threat modeling activities.
The Data Discovery module also integrates with our Data Masking module to make intelligent data masking recommendations, automatically exporting discovery results into the data masking configurations.
